AUTORITAT DEL TRANSPORT METROPOLITA will provide a view on MaaS from a public perspective complementary to views from private stakeholders, and privileging societal, sustainability, and equity goals.
The Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (Metropolitan Transport Authority or ATM) is a voluntary inter-administrative consortium set up in 1997. The aim of ATM is to organise the cooperation between the public administrations owning the collective public transport services and infrastructures in the area of Barcelona which form a part of it, as well as collaboration with those administrations which, such as the state government, are committed from a financial point of view or which own their own services or services that have not been assigned to other bodies.

CARNET will be responsible for WP7 – Outreach & Dissemination activities, including the Advisory Board definition as an expert pool for the consortium. CARNET (coordinated by CIT UPC) will be also the main coordinator of the Molière-Hackathon that will provide significant insights for the design and development of the Mobility Data Marketplace (MDM).
CARNET, The Future Mobility Research Hub, initiated by SEAT, Volkswagen Group Research, and UPC, is an open hub for industrial and academic partners from the areas of automotive and mobility research & innovation.
The hub has a 5-year experience with the organization of hackathons, and for this reason CARNET (coordinated by CIT UPC) will be in charge of the Managing and Communication Work Packages.

The UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC) is a non-profit entity, attached to the UPC, but with its own legal personality. It is dedicated to applying university research capabilities to innovation in business. The mission of CIT UPC is to transfer UPC’s technology to the local ecosystem. CIT UPC comprises 20 UPC Research Centers, accounting for 569 researchers (42% of them PhD) and a total income of €12 million. Regarding the field of mobility, CIT UPC has a long background in the area.
CIT UPC and CARNET are one of the partners and main promoters of EIT Urban Mobility, the recently approved Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in the field of urban mobility.

IOMOB TECHNOLOGIES OU will be responsible for WP4 – System Development, specifying the system design and the integration of GNSS & Blockchain in the new platform. Moreover, Iomob will strongly participate in the Business & Exploitation plan of the end product.
IOMOB is a decentralized, open-source mobility marketplace that is revolutionizing the rapidly emerging Mobility as a Service (MaaS) marketplace. IOMOB lets public transit systems and mobility service providers (MSPs) – ridesharing, bike-sharing, e-scooter, taxi companies, and more – announce their services via an open protocol, so they can be discovered, combined, booked, and paid for using a single app with an integrated experience for the end-user. IOMOB’s platform is globally plugged and played to any app or vehicle and integrates a wide range of mobility services, including micromobility, shared mobility, taxis, ride-hailing, and public transit. These services can be accessed seamlessly via APIs, SDKs, or a white-label app that enable the discovery, combination, booking, and payment of these mobility services from apps or any other kind of user interface.

Keita Mobility Factory is responsible for the coordination of WP 5 – Demonstrations. Besides this task, Keita is working closely together with two partners for the development of two different use cases. 1) With Dott, a use case with micro-incentives for micro-mobility to nudge desirable user behaviour, and 2) With Iomob, an assessment of cycling road infrastructure with novel hardware and software following the CycleRAP methodology.

NEMI Mobility Solutions will in WP4 develop a software connector to format operational data (utilising Galileo-sourced geolocation data) from selected clients operating a flexible, bus-based, public transport service (also known as “Demand Responsive Transit”, DRT) and make this data available through Molière’s MDM. NEMI and Iomob will cooperate under WP5 to demonstrate how a real-time feed from a real-life mobility service operator can be both published and consumed in real-time.
NEMI is a mobility service provider established in Barcelona, Spain, providing a tool for managing flexible public transport services. The tool is totally flexible and adaptable to all types of operating models, designed incorporating public administration’s requirements and intended for local administrations, transport authorities and public transport operators. Currently supporting the operation of 9 services, through which they are reaching 16.500 people who had no previous access to public transport and halving the number of kilometres travelled. This translates, for a single service in just two months of operation, into a reduction of 2,040 kilometres and 442 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Vehicles operated by NEMI use a system that geolocates them using GALILEO.
